The Chronicle of Farah's Wedding...

The event of Farah's wedding went smoothly on both sides. Even though we were a bit tired but it was fun. We didn't help much as we arrived back in Malaysia a day before Raya Haji. Thus my MIL had been preparing and managing the event the past few months. The only thing that we helped is just being the usher and 'banker'. Notice in my picture am the only one holding the handbag apart from the guests.

The performances for both reception at Dewan Perdana Felda and Dewan AU, Keramat was performed by Haziq from AF5 and Nowseeheart. It was sad for not able to join Rafek's reception as I had to care for both kids who had diarrhoea and vomit. But looking at the pictures were so much great to remember back the memories. Ladies Day Out

After we checked out from the hotel (we spend nites at Pan Pac KL after Farah's reception on 26/12/07), we headed to Mont Kiara Specialist Center, KLCC for Erica's travelling vaccination. We arrived at about 11.30 am and to our surprise the clinic had been half the size it used to be. We wonder why?

The moment we enter the receptionist we asked about our appointment with the doctor. It was just not a good day that she mentioned that the vaccine for yellow fever is out of stock. The????? U get the GL couple of week ago and yet now when am standing in front of you then only u told us u are out of stock??? I was really piss off that I mad at her and just walk away. No wonder the clinic is now half the size. I bet the service is no longer as a good as before.

We are going back next week and Erica is still not vaccinated yet. I Immediately make an appointment at Klinik Berkat, Ampang for the new appointment. I went there once for my maid's vaccination. This is a thing that I can't tolerate with people. Last minute notice!!!!!

We send the kids to my sis's house as I have date with my girlfriends at Concorde Hotel, Shah Alam. While am having tunch (hi-tea & lunch) with my girlfriends, hubby spend his time window shopping with his buddy - Arman. It was a great time catching up with them. Talking about life, family, partner, kids and work seems not enough for the 3 of us. It was worth paying RM 45 for the tunch buffet and spend 4 hours there. We planned to meet again and celebrate new year's eve at Pan Pac Hotel, Sepang.

Upon arriving at my sis's house at 8 pm, Ehsan was already 'terkulai'. I was so shocked. My sis said he had been vomitted since evening. On the way back to Sungai Buloh we dropped at a nearby clinic. Apparently he had been eating so much and drinking a lot of gassy drink. Not knowing about his ability he had been playing 'pusing2' with my nephew. The dr said he maybe experienced imbalance in the inner ears that lead to his vomiting.

This is the thing that I afraid most if it happen in Sudan. Luckily we are in Malaysia. Ehsan had been vomiting throughout the nite that I had a sleepless nite looking after him. Hope he will get well soon.

To my Dearest Niece - Nasuha

Today the PMR result were announced. And the most anxious people to get the result were my parents, her parents and myself. Early in the morning I called her for the news. We only got to know nearly noon. My parents were so proud that they went to the school together with her and my sis to take the result.

My niece - Nur Saiyidah Nasuha had 8As for her PMR. Everyone was shocked with the results and we never thought that she could achieve it. Not to say that she is not bright or clever but minah ni suka berangan since small. Plus a month before the exam she told the mother she doesn't know what she doesn't know. Gila apa???

She is my parents' eldest grand daughter and my sis's eldest child. We were quiet close as I used to look after and care for her and her brothers when they were small. Every week or when I have no class I will go back to my sis's house and spend time with them as I don't have any lil brother or sister.

To Nasuha....
Congrats on your achievement...Am proud of you
This achievement would make ibu happy with her sacrifices all these while
....Cucik

Thinking it back how fast they had grown up, I wonder how would I let Ehsan and Erica go when the times come.....

p/s Tomorrow is my exam... Organizational Behaviour....

The Count Down....

It was quiet busy days for us before the wedding day since we arrived from Sudan on 19th. But it was a great moment to spent with someone dear and u love most.

20th December 2007

It was Raya Haji celebration. Thinking of it I then realized that we never celebrate Raya Haji in Sudan. Last year we celebrated in Egypt. Hubby and I got up quiet early even though we were still jet lagged. We went to Surau in Desa Moccis as we joined the Qurban. I can't bare to look at the cow been slaughtered. After having some breakfast with our neighbours, we went back home.

Our plan was to visit my sis and elder brother. We had to wait until the kids wake up as they are too tired. We then off to my sis's house in Maluri nearly 12.00 pm. We had lunch at her place, spend time with my parents, niece and nephews and update on my sis condition. Later that evening we headed to my bro's house in Batu Caves and had dinner at his place. We arrived home at about 1030 p.m.

21st December 2007

Since we had a very short break this time around, we have to maximise our holidays as much as possible. Back in June we got a discount voucher from Home Dec Fair from Floor Depot for the flooring. Since we are back in Malaysia, we decided to use the opportunity to do the flooring for our upstairs rooms, living area and staircases for our house in KD.

Early in the morning we were off to Center Point in BU to see the material and KD to do the floor measurement. That noon we headed back to Sungai Buloh to fetch Farah for her henna painting in Ampang Point. We reached there at 2 pm and straight away send Farah for the session. While Farah had her henna painting, hubby, Ehsan and I went to my usual salon to get our hair cut. It was Ehsan's first hair cut since he was born. Yes... after 2 and 1/2 years baru nak potong rambut.

He just can't stay still

So anxious

Hour later, we joined Farah and I had my henna pulak. We spend almost 3 hours there till the henna dried off. We left Ampang Point at 6.30 pm and luckily the traffic was not that bad. We dropped at TTDI to fetch Zaria before heading back to Sungai Buloh.

This is the real bride....

Ini saja nak lepas gian....

We slept quiet early that nite eventho others were excited and busy preparing for Farah's big day.

Happy 10th Years Anniversary - Hubby...

Yesterday was hubby's 10th years anniversary with Petronas. Being a lovely husband he took us all for a dine in at Rotana Hotel. It was a wonderful night that we could spend time together with the kids after he had left us for Dubai last week.

For the past 4 years we have been married, I could see lots of achievement hubby had achieved. Been moved to Sudan was one of it despite other achievements. As a wife I can only support him in whatever he does during good and bad times. My only wish for him is that to stay healthy and be a good father and husband for the family. I love you....

We started the lesson by baking the chocolate cake. Later we learnt to make tiramisu. It was great to learn new things from others. Bak kata pepatah "Jauh perjalanan luas pengalaman". And am proud of myself from a person yang memang tak tahu masak when we first came to Sudan, to having confidence to cook and invite people to my house. So, not bad living abroad after all!

Ehsani Linguini

Since winter has arrived again, I have started to feel cold in the house and I have to wear socks. Later that nite, Ehsan, in his own language, asked me why I had the socks on. I replied "Mama sejuk darling". He then dissapeared to the kitchen and brought back... the lighter! With his innocent face looking at me he showed me the lighter and suggested that this might 'warm' me up! I just laugh looking at him and said "Ini bukan nak warm mama up tapi nak bakar mama".

I smsed hubby telling him about it and hubby said that he'g got the concepts down, but luckily can't execute them! Looking at him I feel how time flies and in a short period of time he has learnt new words, but in his own sweet pronounciations:-

Shush - Shoes
A-cue - A clue from the Blues Clues
Bobob - Sponge Bob Square pants
Nam - Milk (for Enam ounce!)
B- yash - Brushing teeth
Yayak - Fart/S***
Cincing - Wee wee

There are also some words that he could pronounce it clearly:

Mama, Baba and Erica definitely
Nenek
Atok - includes any old man appearing on TV!
Kakak
Abang - abang will always be initiated with ball
Air - water
Ball
Cow
Bee
Bear
Cat

Jom Cari Makan......

Apart from being so worried about my sister's condition I was quiet busy with Petronita's activities. We had organized a farewell party for those who are going back to Malaysia and attended several meetings to plan few activities before our term end next March. We had planned several activities and today we had our first activity done. Bazaar!!!

It was so much fun and the crowd was so unexpected. Since it was a first trial, we are worried to sell lots of food, but in the end all the foods were sold off within 1 hour. As for me and hubby, we just had fun selling Laksa Penang as I guess that is a simple dish to prepare.

I had cooked the 'kuah' a nite before so this morning I didn't have much to do. I just asked my maid to cook the laksa and prepare the condiments this morning. We left the house at 8.15 a.m and headed to Block H at Riyadh and started to set up our stall. I wanted to share this happy moments that I brought the kids along. We had the first customer coming at 9.15 a.m eventhough it was suppose to start at 9.30 a.m. And to my suprise our laksa were just like 'hot cake' that it finished in 30 minutes. Lagipun I just make for 20 pax. (Hehehehehe......).

Sibuk menyusun.....

My stall - Laksa Penang

We had several stalls selling varieties of food. Nasi lemak with different types of lauk, Meehoon goreng, roti canai (siap tebar on the spot..), bubur ayam, drinks, kuih-muih and also handicraft, second hand things and books. Despite that a talented friend of mine; Sharifah; open a henna service for those interested.

Roti canai stall

Nasi lemak & Mee hoon goreng stall

Not only that, we are also 'dikunjungi' by TV3 crew who came here to shoot on Mercy in Sudan. So they took the opportunity to capture the moments of the bazaar for their special edition on NONA during Raya Haji nanti. (So jangan lupa korang yang baca ni tengok2 la NONA kot2 ada muka glamer ni....:)).

From left : Salina, Harlina, Hazila, Nurul Shuhada (TV3 host), Me & Hartina (NONA's producer)

We left Block H nearly 1230 p.m. Ehsan had so much fun even it was very hot day. Thinking that he would knock out upon arriving home, our prediction didn't come true. Wonder where he had the energy all day long???. He finally surrenderred himself by 7.00 p.m. I was not so keen to let the kids sleep before Maghrib but it turns out he slept the whole nite.

Perhaps mebe he was so much happy as I did with the bazaar today. Planning to sell some more on the next bazaar next month.
